Today marks week two of the July, 2019 program for the Abbey Road St Laurent du Var group. We are all very pleased with the events and excursions that we participated in that last 4 days since our first 15 students arrived just last July 4th.
Saturday we went to VilleFranche sur Mer. Our morning started with a boat trip and snorkeling around St Jean Cap Ferrat, followed by a visit to the old town of VilleFranche. We celebrated la Fete de la Saint-Pierre et de la Mer that evening back on the beaches of Cagnes sur Mer to see the fire works. You can visit Cagnes tourism (office de tourism: www.cagnes-tourisme.com/fr) ) or on FaceBook to see all the pictures and videos of the events that took place. Yesterday we went with the AbbeyRoad Nice group to Monaco to visit the Oceanographic Musee as well as the Palais of Prince Albert; then onto Eze village for a tour of the Fragonard Parfumerie and walking up to the old village with amazing sites along the way. Last night everyone stayed with their host families for an evening and dinner at their homes. I'm sure everyone slept very well. Today marks the first week of course study....to be continued as the week progresses. Today was another fun day with a visit to the Palais in Monaco and then on to the Fragonard Parfumerie in Eze Village. I see a real resemblance of GraceAnne and Princess Grace of Monaco! Absolutely stunning!
It has been an exciting first couple of days with everyone getting acquainted with each other: students, host families and staff members. I am pleased to say we have quite a fun amicable group!
